I am 46 years old, unmarried, born in Erlangen. Family plays a central role in my life and I am proud to take an active part in my godchildren’s upbringing.

Most of my childhood and youth, I have spent in Herzogenaurach – attending Aurachtal elementary school and Gymnasium Herzogenaurach. I have obtained the high school baccalaureate through secondary schooling.

My family roots lie in Herzogenaurach on my mother’s side and in Niederndorf on my father’s side – an exciting mix of both places. During my youth, I was very active in several clubs, which was quite formative for me. For example the football clubs Hammerbacher SV, ASV Herzogenaurach, the Boxing Club Herzogenaurach as well as the DLRG swim lifesaving club. I would like to emphasize the years of voluntary youth work in the ‘Jugendhaus Rabatz’, where I was a board member amongst other roles. These experiences have strengthened my social competence and sense of responsibility.

In my leisure time, I have discovered the crafts and trades. My ‘boutiques’ are Daigfuss, Eisen Kurr and Kuwe – from foundation to roof tiling – no project is safe from me. At the same time, my heart beats for nature. As a member of the Fishing & Beekeeping Club Herzogenaurach, I am trying to actively contribute to the preservation of our environment.

My professional career began as regular soldier on the submarine boat U24.

During the four years of my service, I completed the education to office clerk with the IHK Flensburg. At sea, one could say, I also gained an unofficial diploma in conflict resolution and stress management. That time was a true challenge and simultaneously an exciting experience, which has taught me to stay calm and keep cool even in the most stressful situations. Further education in financial accounting followed, which enabled me to deepen my knowledge.

As financial accountant, I have collected experience in mid-size companies in the Nuremberg area like the airline FAI AG, Solar Millenium AG and as director of invoicing with the ‘Deutsche Stiftungstreuhand AG’.

In August 2014, I started working at the city government of Herzogenaurach in various positions such as the construction department, tax office and treasury. Since 2021, I am treasurer of Herzogenaurach. In addition to my work, I have successfully finished the education to administrative specialist.

As your future mayor, the following points are especially important to me:

  I am committed to transparent and citizen oriented policies that listen to and respect the voices of all people and win back their trust. That is the standard that must be met.

• The city finances must be placed on a stable and long-term foundation so that we can continue to manage both the mandatory tasks and the voluntary services that are so important for the community. The aim is to consolidate while maintaining the same level of services.

• Actively supporting local club activities and strengthening our fire brigade. To live Community! That is our expectation.

• In order to strengthen our economy in a sustainable way, it is essential to support the big corporations as well as the small and mid-size firms. The corporations significantly contribute to innovation and employment while the small and mid size businesses form the stable foundation of our economy. Measures such as intensifying inner city activities and the targeted allocation of commercial space will help to support our economy.

• Our children must continue to receive the best possible care and education in order to have a good start into their future. In cooperation with our reliable partners, especially all the churches and social institutions like Lebenshilfe e.V. , we assure a high standard of care for our children. With a prudent use of our resources, we can guarantee that our educational and child care institutions will continue to excel in the communal comparison.

• In our city, it is important to actively recognize the demographic change. That means, we have to take the needs of our elderly generation seriously and take specific measures for the care and support of our senior citizens. With age appropriate services, accessible infrastructure and social support, we can contribute to a lively community in which all generations feel respected and valued.

• Fostering regional culture and customs is important to keeping our traditions alive and strengthening our sense of community. With events, festivals and cultural offers, we can preserve our history and set new impulses.

• It is my goal to cooperate to procure more affordable and sustainable living space. Through exchange and support in the implementation of your plans, we can create a city that is safe for the future and worth living in.

• I passionately support the protection of the regional environment and would like to assure that our actions are honest and transparent. It is important to me to avoid green washing so that our efforts truly benefit the environment and not only seem to do so.

• To make our administration more efficient and welcoming for our citizens, my aim is to slim down bureaucracy and processes. Through simplifying and merging procedures, we can reduce waiting time and workload for citizens and employees. The result is a service that is faster, more transparent and more pleasant, which strengthens trust in the administration and increases the satisfaction of everyone involved.

• I would like to push digitalization, but only where it proves to lead to more efficiency. It is important to me that the resulting efficiency is also cost saving. That’s how we assure that digitalization is implemented in a profitable and sustainable way - improving our work processes without creating unnecessary costs.

For all of these tasks, Herzogenaurach needs an open, honest, approachable and visionary mayor with profound municipal and private sector experience. I will take on these challenges with devotion and determination - that is my promise to you!
